Lay Down. Get Under the Sheets. Cry. Cry Some More

Screams fill a Rhode Island farmhouse as 12 year old Nancy Perron is yanked across the living room by a demonic spirit that has tormented the Perrons ever since they moved to their country home. Set in the 1970's, The Conjuring is based on a true case consulted by the highly acclaimed and founders of the New England Society for Psychic Research Ed and Lorraine Warren.

The Perron family is haunted by a satanic spirit that dates back to the Salem Witch Trials and has carried on to the previous owners as well. Their experience includes foul smelling odors that disperse throughout the house, apparitions, noises in the middle of the night, and unwelcoming disturbances. In comes demonologists Ed Warren and his wife Lorraine Warren to the rescue. The couple work together to save the sanity of a terrified family on the brink of hell.

Director James Wan (Saw and Insidious) presents one of the most compelling horror films of the summer that keeps its audience on the edge of their seats for a full 112 minutes.

This is possibly one of the scariest movies I've seen in a while. And that's saying something. Who knew gore and sex aren't needed to make a film scare the crap out of you? Goodness gracious I was afraid to look at my little sister's dolls in fear that they might be possessed by a hellish demon! The film plays with you imagination and takes it to dark places. The Conjuring deserves and 8.5/10 and my highest recommendation to those who seek a good scare. Don't believe me? Watch the main trailer.
